The Cross is the defining event for all of Creation. Jesus is crucified from the foundations of the earth. That means something. The reality of His sacrifice bleeds into nearly every story ever told. We recognize Christ in the single mother that takes another shift to provide for her family, the firefighter that rushes into the inferno to rescue the hurting and helpless, the father that chooses to dig deep and show up for his children though he’s broken and exhausted.
Calvary echoes through the very fabric of reality. The same way that Jesus is the one that holds the very molecules of the universe together, the Cross has left an indelible fingerprint on all things. On Good Friday we will dive deep into what this means and why this matters.
