Toddler—Kindergarten

Story Focus: I can praise God because He is good. Grab your shakers for week five, because we are having a praise party! We want to lead our preschoolers in praising God, because God is good! It will be a special time when we remember what we’ve learned this month (the different ways God has blessed us), and praise God for all He has done.

1st—5th Grade

We finish up the month in 1 Corinthians 11:23-26 and Exodus 12. In 1 Corinthians 11, Paul talks about taking time out to celebrate Communion, or the Lord’s Supper. When we drink the cup and eat the bread, we celebrate that Jesus lived and died, and rose again to make us right with God. As we think about what Paul wrote, we’ll take time to remember that this celebration is rooted in another rescue story where God leads the Israelites out of slavery in Egypt. Bottom Line: Get in the habit of being grateful. People often focus on bad habits they need to stop. However, the best way to stop a bad habit is to replace it with a good one. Replace those sweets with healthy choices. Replace TV with exercise. Replace complaining with gratitude. We pray that kids will start to see that gratitude is a choice that God can help them make, especially when they remember all that Jesus did for us on the cross.

MESSAGE FROM PASTOR HOPE

I miss you and your precious kiddos SO MUCH!!  Parents, I believe with all my heart that God is working tremendous good in the midst of the bad. My prayer for you is that you see the good He is doing within your family, so that you can cooperate with Him with hearts filled with gratitude, confidence, and peace.

Confidence can be tough in new, uncertain situations (like homeschooling and having to stay home) BUT friends, we truly can be confident in any situation because we each are led by Holy Spirit. I encourage you to “seize the moments” of daily-life situations with your kids to teach them about God and His ways. Seize those moments! And do so in the confidence and peace that only comes from reliance on Holy Spirit. He is just as available to YOU as to anyone! Be at rest knowing He is leading you as a parent. We simply get to follow His lead, which takes the pressure off, doesn’t it? Know that God is working in your family and your kids’ lives! Ask Him to help you “see” how. Reflect on this scripture and let confidence rise-up within you:

John 14:26-27 New American Standard Bible (NASB)

26 But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all that I said to you. 27 Peace I leave with you; My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your heart be troubled, nor let it be fearful.

With much love,

Pastor Hope
