SEPTEMBER 26

Toddler—Kindergarten

God is with me so I can be strong. We will find ourselves in a royal court during week four as we hear about the strong actions of a queen named Esther. She risked her life to gain an audience with the king and plead for the lives of her people. Bravery, wisdom, courage, and strength…our preschoolers can live out all of these things when they know that God is always with them. That is why we will say countless times this month, God is always with me.

1st-5th Grade

In our final week, we head to Nehemiah 3–4, 6:15-16, and 8:1-17 and read that God helped Nehemiah and the people finish the wall in only 52 days! They celebrated what God had done for them, not only during those 52 days but throughout their history as His people. They heard God’s word and remembered how God had been faithful to them. They had a lot to be thankful for! Bottom Line: Look for ways to celebrate what God has done. When we realize that God is doing amazing things in our lives, we can’t help but thank Him. We pray that throughout this month, looking at Nehemiah’s story, kids will see how God helps them every day. We hope they learn to celebrate God’s continued work in their lives.

MESSAGE FROM PASTOR HOPE

I miss you and your precious kiddos SO MUCH!!  Parents, I believe with all my heart that God is working tremendous good in the midst of the bad. My prayer for you is that you see the good He is doing within your family, so that you can cooperate with Him with hearts filled with gratitude, confidence, and peace.

Confidence can be tough in new, uncertain situations (like homeschooling and having to stay home) BUT friends, we truly can be confident in any situation because we each are led by Holy Spirit. I encourage you to “seize the moments” of daily-life situations with your kids to teach them about God and His ways. Seize those moments! And do so in the confidence and peace that only comes from reliance on Holy Spirit. He is just as available to YOU as to anyone! Be at rest knowing He is leading you as a parent. We simply get to follow His lead, which takes the pressure off, doesn’t it? Know that God is working in your family and your kids’ lives! Ask Him to help you “see” how. Reflect on this scripture and let confidence rise-up within you:

John 14:26-27 New American Standard Bible (NASB)

26 But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all that I said to you. 27 Peace I leave with you; My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your heart be troubled, nor let it be fearful.

With much love,

Pastor Hope
