Toddler—Kindergarten

Story Focus: Jesus wants to be my friend forever. Week two is a continuation of the Easter story. Can you imagine what the disciples felt when they saw Jesus standing on the shore after they thought He was gone? Before they knew it, they were sitting around a fire eating the breakfast Jesus had cooked for them. Jesus is really alive, and He wanted to make sure His friends knew He is alive and that He is going to be their friend forever. That’s what we want preschoolers to know—Jesus is alive and He wants to be their friend

1st-5th Grade

In week two, we look closer at something else Paul wrote in Colossians 3:15: Let the peace that Christ gives rule in your hearts. As parts of one body, you were appointed to live in peace. And be thankful, (NIrV). Because Jesus made peace with us, we can turn around and show that same peace to others. Bottom Line: We can make peace with others. When God made peace with us through Jesus, God showed us that peace with others is possible. This doesn’t mean that it will be easy, but peace is worth the effort it takes to make it. We pray that kids will discover the ways they can live at peace with the people in their life.

MESSAGE FROM PASTOR HOPE

I miss you and your precious kiddos SO MUCH!!  Parents, I believe with all my heart that God is working tremendous good in the midst of the bad. My prayer for you is that you see the good He is doing within your family, so that you can cooperate with Him with hearts filled with gratitude, confidence, and peace.

Confidence can be tough in new, uncertain situations (like homeschooling and having to stay home) BUT friends, we truly can be confident in any situation because we each are led by Holy Spirit. I encourage you to “seize the moments” of daily-life situations with your kids to teach them about God and His ways. Seize those moments! And do so in the confidence and peace that only comes from reliance on Holy Spirit. He is just as available to YOU as to anyone! Be at rest knowing He is leading you as a parent. We simply get to follow His lead, which takes the pressure off, doesn’t it? Know that God is working in your family and your kids’ lives! Ask Him to help you “see” how. Reflect on this scripture and let confidence rise-up within you:

John 14:26-27 New American Standard Bible (NASB)

26 But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all that I said to you. 27 Peace I leave with you; My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your heart be troubled, nor let it be fearful.

With much love,

Pastor Hope
